Western Bulldogs renew Mission Foods deal

AFL side take major partnership into second decade.

3 April 2017 Eoin Connolly

Australian rules football team Western Bulldogs have announced a three-year renewal with Mission Foods.

The multi-million dollar agreement will see the tortilla, flatbread and corn flour producer continue as the lead sponsor of the Australian Football League (AFL) side until at least the end of the 2020 season. The company's branding will appear on the team's playing guernseys and on pitchside advertising hoardings at Bulldogs home games.

The extension, which will take the association between the two parties to 12 years, makes the partnership the longest-running in the club's history.

“On evaluating our nine-year partnership, we felt the synergies and alignment between Mission Foods and the Western Bulldogs was still there and the relationship was stronger than ever,” said Juan Gonzalez, the president, chairman and chief executive of Mission Foods.

“Our loyalty as a partner is something we are very proud of and we are thrilled to be continuing as major partner for another three years until 2020.”
