West Bromwich Albion, who will play in English club soccer’s second tier next season, have announced a two-year partnership with Ideal Boilers.

The UK heating firm will replace Chinese landscape design and construction company Palm as the club’s principal partner, and will see its logo feature on the Baggies’ kit and training wear until the end of the 2019/20 season.

The Express and Star regional newspaper is reporting that the deal ranks among the top three most lucrative in the Championship for the new season, and is worth a multi-million pound figure.

The news comes just days after West Brom announced a new kit deal with German sportswear brand Puma.

Mark Jenkins, chief executive of West Brom, said: “This summer marks the start of a new journey for the club and I’m delighted we have found in Ideal Boilers a partner which can point to the same longevity and values.

“Their founding principles all those years ago were 'quality, innovation and value' and that is something we can identify with at The Hawthorns. I’m particularly pleased that we have a two-year agreement which can allow both Ideal and ourselves to develop a partnership which can truly benefit both.”

Shaun Edwards, chief executive of Ideal Boilers, added: “From the moment you step into The Hawthorns you realise Albion is a very special club and we are thrilled to join forces with them. We think there is an exciting journey ahead and I’m delighted Ideal will be there supporting them every step of the way.”

West Brom finished bottom of the Premier League after winning just six games during the season. They will play in the Championship in 2018/19.
