Warsteiner and BMW extend German soccer deals

Warsteiner has become a premium partner of German Bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Warsteiner has become a premium partner of German Bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf.

The new agreement includes pouring rights at the club's Espirit Arena as well as increased branding in the stadium.

Warsteiner has been connected to Fortuna Dusseldorf for nearly a decade through its Frankenheim brand.

Thorsten Terlohr, head of sponsorship and events for the Warsteiner Group said: “For us, this cooperation is a clear commitment to Dusseldorf.”

Meanwhile, BMW brand Mini has renewed its deal with second-tier German soccer club FC St. Pauli until the end of the 2013/14.

A report on Sponsors.de said the deal was worth as much as €250,000, with the package of rights including the usual in-stadium advertising.

Mini has been a partner of the team for the past two seasons.
