Title sponsor returns to Shark Shootout

Investment firm Franklin Templeton is to return as the title sponsor of December's Shark Shootout, the PGA Tour event in Florida run by Greg Norman.

Investment firm Franklin Templeton is to return as the title sponsor of December's Shark Shootout, the PGA Tour event in Florida run by Greg Norman. The company was previously title sponsor of the event from 1995 to 2002 and will return for both the 2011 and 2012 tournaments in Naples.

"Through the years, Franklin Templeton has been a tremendous partner of this tournament," said Greg Norman. "Their involvement has spanned more than 20 years and we're excited to have them return as the title sponsor. We are glad to be fully aligned with this great company once again as we head into the future."

Greg Johnson, president and chief executive of Franklin Resources, Inc., added: "This event features some of the golf world's best players, demonstrating skill that comes from discipline, experience and persistence – values we embrace in our business. But first and foremost, this is a charity event, and we are very happy to support the worthy causes that will benefit from the Franklin Templeton Shootout."

The Shark Shootout features 12 two-man teams competing in various formats. The tournament raises funds and awareness for a variety of local and national charities.
