National Rugby League (NRL) team Sydney Roosters have renewed their longstanding partnership with poultry brand Steggles.
The extended four-season deal will take the Roosters' association with the brand to 12 consecutive seasons. Steggles will continue to be the team's matchday and training shirt sponsor. In addition, the organisations will continue to work together on the Steggles Charity Nest, an initiative that has raised over AUD $2.5million (US$1.9 million) to support a range of children's charities.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Roosters for a further four years,” said Steggles' managing director Simon Camilleri.
“We are proud to support a club that shares our passion and strives to be the best – on the field and in its support for the local community. It’s exciting times ahead and we look forward to a great 2017 season and beyond.”
The Roosters' chairman, Nick Politis, added: “Both Steggles and the Roosters share a proud Australian history built on similar passions, and it’s very pleasing to know that this tradition will continue in the coming years.”
The Roosters finished 16th in the 2016 NRL, but have made a good start to their current campaign, winning their opening two games of the season.
