Audio streaming service Spotify is developing several daily sports shows as part of a wider push into producing more original content, according to Bloomberg.

The financial news outlet’s report says that one programme will be a ten-minute recap of the day’s events in sports, adding that Spotify is also considering other options including creating shows that are tailored to fans of specific teams.

The report added that Spotify will likely start with a single daily sports show before expanding the offering.

The news comes after Spotify hired Amy Hudson, who previously oversaw social media giant Facebook’s sports media partnerships in North America, to oversee its push into original sports content.

Spotify already hosts some sports content through tie-ups with individual teams and leagues such as the National Football League (NFL), while it also features a range of sports podcasts created and posted by other outlets.
