Sky Sports extends Scottish soccer deal to 2020

Pay-TV broadcaster adds three seasons to current deal.

Sky Sports in the UK has renewed its broadcast rights agreement with the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) for a further three seasons.

The new deal, which runs until the end of the 2019/20 season, will see the pay-TV broadcaster provide coverage of up to 30 live matches from Scotland’s top flight Premiership each season.

Coverage will be shown online and on mobile devices via the Sky Go service as well as on TV.

“We're delighted to extend our partnership with the SPFL, taking our coverage of Scottish football to almost 30 years with this deal,” said Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis.

“The SPFL is a major part of our unrivalled football schedule, in addition to the Scottish Cup and Scotland's Uefa Euro 2016 and Fifa World Cup 2018 qualifiers.”
