SEA Games appoint sponsorship management consultant

Dentsu Sports Asia, a subsidiary of Japanese advertising and public relations firm Dentsu, has been appointed as a sponsorship management consultant for December’s Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Myanmar.

Dentsu Sports Asia, a subsidiary of Japanese advertising and public relations firm Dentsu, has been appointed as a sponsorship management consultant for December’s Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Myanmar.
 
The agreement was signed by the Ministry of Finance and Revenue of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Dentsu Sports Asia. It will see the sports marketing, sponsorship and PR agency work with a range of companies that fall under the Dentsu Asia umbrella to offer ‘integrated advertising communications proposals related to the 27th SEA Games to existing global, regional and local clients as well as to attract new clients.’

Additionally, according to an official press release, ‘the Dentsu Group will utilise its strengths of knowledge and experience in the sports marketing field to accelerate business development in Myanmar.’
 
The biennial SEA Games will see athletes compete across more than 30 sporting events. This year’s competition, scheduled to take place from 11th to 22nd December, will be the third time Myanmar hosts the event.
