Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) has entered a multi-year naming rights agreement with Victory Capital for when the San Antonio Spurs’ new training facility at The Rock at La Cantera development opens this year.

Contract:

  • The National Basketball Association (NBA) team’s multi-purpose campus will be named the ‘Victory Capital Performance Center’
  • Victor Capital also named the Spurs’ official investment partner
  • Joint marketing campaigns will promote financial wellness across local community
  • Victor Capital will also gain in-arena signage and on-court promotions during games at the AT&T Center

Context:

The Rock at La Cantera is a multi-phase, US$500 million project which will span 45 acres once complete. Last year long-term Spurs partner Frost agreed a deal to become the naming rights partner for the development’s new event plaza.

Coming next:

Slated to open this summer, the Spurs’ Victory Capital Performance Centre will feature a number of innovations, including a motion capture shooting lab, an environmental training room, hydrotherapy pools, and a sensory deprivation tank. Powered by solar energy, the practice facility is also being constructed using structural elements aimed at reducing water consumption.
