French soccer giants Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a multi-year exclusive licensing agreement with sports collectibles specialist Topps.

The multi-year deal will see the Fanatics-owned company produce trading cards and stickers for the Ligue 1 champions, with the first PSG products to launch imminently.

Topps says the new deal will allow it to ‘increase and develop’ its distribution network in France beyond its established presence newsagent, with goals of becoming a ‘key player in the trading card sector’. The deal also expands Topps portfolio of similar agreements in soccer, which includes the Bundesliga, the Uefa Champions League, and the Euro 2024 national team soccer championships.

PSG already have a ten-year, ‘multi-million’ partnership with Fanatics covering major ecommerce, manufacturing and licensing. The US-based sports merchandise giant acquired Topps in January in a reported US$500 million deal.
