The English Premier League has signed a multi-year deal with Pulselive that will see the league’s official web and mobile properties redeveloped ahead of the 2017/17 Premier League season.

Pulselive is the digital division of sports technology company Hawk-Eye, which provides its goal-line technology to the Premier league.

As the Premier League’s official digital partner, Pulselive will be responsible for re-launching www.premierleague.com and building a single native mobile application that consolidates key features and functions across its existing properties available for iOS, Android and Windows operating platforms.

The new platforms will combine Fantasy Premier League, live data, social media, video and statistics with localised content.

Martin Axford, the head of digital at the Premier League, said: “Pulselive have a proven track record and their appointment ensures the Premier League’s digital and mobile properties will serve our fans locally and globally as well as complementing our clubs’ own sites and channels.”

Pulselive’s managing director, Wyndham Richardson added: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with the Premier League to maximise the value of their digital platforms in order to serve the wider objectives of the Premier League and respective clubs. At the very heart of this redevelopment is the mission to help fans get closer to the football.”

Pulselive is the current digital partner of World Rugby, the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), as well as an official partner of both Twitter and Facebook.
