The Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced a new partnership with technology firm SportsBubble, which provides software and marketing services to simplify discovery for the North American women’s ice-hockey league.

Through the new agreement, information on the PHF’s schedule and broadcast details will be made available to fans via WatchSports, the newly launched platform which provides users with a real-time events guide, viewing options, as well as a connect-to-watch feature.

The deal with the PHF adds to SportsBubble’s existing agreements with the Pac-12 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) conference, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), the LPGA Tour, Athletes Unlimited and US Speed Skating.

Reagan Carey, PHF commissioner, added: “Visibility and access are key components to growing the PHF and professional women’s sports which makes the WatchSports app an effective tool to help drive awareness and strengthen fan engagement.

“We are excited to partner with SportsBubble and look forward to seeing the spotlight shine brighter for the PHF and our elite athletes during the 2022/23 season.”

“I’m excited to launch SportsBubble with the WatchSports app,” added Lydia Murphy-Stephans, chief executive and founder of SportsBubble.

“With WatchSports, fans now have a universal source for live event viewing information at their fingertips. I set out to solve the sports media fragmentation problem and, in the process, we created a tool that will also help level the playing field for women’s sports exposure.

“WatchSports provides information and access equitably across all sports and viewing platforms which means the search-to-watch for a women’s college soccer game is as easy and fast as it is for an NFL game.”
