Sports marketing agency Pitch International has invested in UK-based events management company D&G Group.
Confirmed:
- Pitch’s ‘major stake’ to support D&G’s growth through expansion of its hospitality offering and the company’s global footprint
- D&G aiming to add new clients with new financial backing
- Pitch adds new service to offering
Context:
Founded in 2010 by ex-Middlesex cricketer David Nash, D&G Group’s clients include Asos, Argos, Holland & Barrett, Iceland, Rolls Royce, Bidfood and PayPal, as well as being the official hospitality partner of the Kia Oval cricket ground.
Pitch has already worked with the company before, while D&G has raised more than UK£25 million (US$30.4 million) for charitable causes through corporate events, unique customer experiences and the setting up of foundations on behalf of its clients.
Comment:
“We’ve admired the D&G Group business for many years, having worked closely with them on hospitality and fundraising events including the recent successful Ukraine fundraising event Sport4Peace,” said Oliver Slipper, Pitch International’s executive chairman.
“This investment will not only allow D&G to expand its offer more quickly providing even more for its current and new clients, but also adds another important service for Pitch International’s clients to take advantage of.”
Coming next:
Pitch’s investment will see it tap D&G’s hospitality and fundraising expertise to compliment its existing client offering, which includes global media rights representation, management and delivery of events, sponsorship sales and consultancy, and sports films production.
