Phiten adds Curtis Granderson to sponsorship roster

New York Yankees centre fielder Curtis Granderson has signed a personal endorsement deal with Phiten, maker of titanium necklaces and precious metal-infused sports accessories.

New York Yankees centre fielder Curtis Granderson has signed a personal endorsement deal with Phiten, maker of titanium necklaces and precious metal-infused sports accessories.

"I have been using Phiten products since my days with the Tigers to help me keep in top form," said the 30-year-old Major League Baseball (MLB) player. "I always feel like I am bringing my best to the field and I am excited to be an official representative of Phiten."

In partnering with Phiten, Granderson joins a number of professional baseball players, including teammate Joba Chamberlain, who also endorse the Kyoto-based company's products. Additional athletes on Phiten's sponsorship roster include Shingo Katayama, Naoko Takahashi, Carmelo Anthony, Tomoaki Kanemoto, Yu Darvish, Sergio Garcia and Paula Radcliffe amongst others.

Financial details of the agreement were not released.
