PGA Tour’s Day sinks new sponsorship

PGA Tour golfer Jason Day has agreed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Concur, a provider of spend management solutions and services.

PGA Tour golfer Jason Day has agreed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Concur.

The partnership kicks off this week at the US Open event in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Day, currently ranked seventh in the world rankings, will exhibit the Concur logo on his shirt at the event.

The sponsorship will promote the Concur brand name as well as explore different partner and community engagement opportunities with Day.

Concur are a provider of spend management solutions and services, helping businesses of all sizes better manage expenditure.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Robson Grieve, executive vice president of Concur, said: “Jason Day is a tremendous competitor who has built his game on hard work, attention to detail and a willingness to compete against the best, and we're equally impressed with who he is off the course.”

Additionally, Grieve noted that Day “instantly recognised the value that Concur offers to businesses, and he's genuinely excited to wear the brand.”

Grieve’s enthusiasm was reciprocated by Day, who commented: “I learn about a lot of businesses through the PGA Tour, and Concur really captured my attention because of their innovative approach and track record of success.”

Financial terms remain undisclosed.
