German soccer star Marco Reus has agreed a personal endorsement deal with Panasonic.

The 24-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder is to become a brand ambassador for the company's Lumix G range of digital cameras. He will appear in a series of campaigns to promote the product in Germany, with a focus on print campaigns in national newspapers.

The partnership was brokered by Reus' representatives at the Sports Total agency in Cologne. Reus also promotes Puma and toy manufacturer Mattel's Hot Wheels brand.

“As a player I need to be technically accurate, flexible and react quickly – those qualities I associate with the LUMIX G system camera,” said Reus.
