Major League Baseball (MLB) team the San Diego Padres have extended and expanded their partnership with the San Diego County Lexus Dealers until 2017.

The agreement extends a partnership first inked in 2012 and includes naming rights to the Padres’ 222-seater Lexus Home Plate Club. As such, all seats in the hospitality area, which has been sold out since the club’s inception in 1969, will be outfitted with Lexus-branded seatbacks.

Lexus will also continue as the naming rights partner of the Lexus Premier Lot, which comprises 15 reserved parking spaces for Lexus vehicles on game days.

“We are proud to continue and extend our partnership with the San Diego County Lexus Dealers and welcome them as the naming partner of the Lexus Home Plate Club,” said Padres senior vice president, business development Tyler Epp.

“The San Diego County Lexus Dealers are proud to be the new naming rights sponsor of the Lexus Home Plate Club,” added Michael Bevan, general manager of the Lexus Western Area. “Lexus has been a proud supporter of the San Diego Padres for the last year and we look forward to the expanded partnership.”
