Soccer media company OneFootball will stream live matches from Germany’s knockout DFB Pokal cup competition and the Liga Portugal top-flight through a multi-year distribution deal with Viaplay-owned Premier Sports.

OneFootball has acquired the rights to air select pay-per-view (PPV) matches from the DFP Pokal and Liga Portugal, which will be available for UK£1.79 (US$2.06) each, as part of a broader content deal.

In addition, the platform will provide free-to-air (FTA) highlights from Spanish soccer’s LaLiga. In total, fans will have access to 380 highlight clips each season until the end of the LaLiga 2024/25 campaign.

OneFootball has been expanding its UK live offering of late, signing a multi-year deal to air live Serie A matches for free on its platforms. It follows a similar approach taken in other territories, such as Germany where a deal with Sky Deutschland allows OneFootball to air Bundesliga and DFB Pokal fixtures.

“Our approach to live football at OneFootball is all about flexibility, accessibility, and getting fans closer to the clubs and leagues they love from all around the world,” said Nikolaus von Doetinchem, vice president of over-the-top (OTT) streaming and media rights at OneFootball.

“We’re building a fantastic offer for our UK community, bringing them live action and highlights from a big mix of global leagues, as well as some of Europe’s elite competitions.

“Thanks to Premier Sports, UK fans can enjoy highlights from one of the best leagues in the world, LaLiga, as well as affordable live coverage of two other top European competitions.”
