ONE Championship
ONE Championship has teamed up with Animoca Brands and the blockchain specialist’s Notre Game subsidiary to create a non-fungible token (NFT) powered mobile game.
Confirmed:
- ‘ONE Fight Arena’ to feature martial arts promotion’s roster of athletes and IP library
- Player testing to start in fourth quarter of 2023
- Global launch planned for first quarter of 2024
- Free-to-play game will be available on Google Play and Apple’s App Store
- New offering to focus more on strategic gameplay and will feature ‘immersive first-person point of view’
Context:
Singapore-based ONE wants the game to let users better experience the world of martial arts, with features including letting players develop their athlete from the beginning of his or her career.
One Fight Arena will also offer optional Web 3.0 integration that uses blockchain technology and NFTs. This will provide digital ownership to players for certain game assets, including ONE athletes, adding to the experience and helping to establish a community for the game.
