Nissan Stadium to host Titans clashes

Car manufacturer signs 20-year naming rights deal with Tennessee football team.

The Tennessee Titans’ LP Field will be renamed the Nissan Stadium as part of a 20-year naming rights deal between the National Football League (NFL) team and the Japanese automotive giant.

Subject to the approval of the NFL and the Metro Government Authority, the deal will come into effect in time for the beginning of the 2015 NFL season, which starts on 10th September. Financial terms were not revealed.

The naming rights agreement includes the displaying of Nissan’s branding on the facility’s exterior as well as signage and other areas inside the stadium.

“This partnership sends a strong message about the positive future on the horizon for the Titans franchise, Nissan, the City of Nashville and Middle Tennessee,” said Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk.
