The New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL) have announced new betting partnerships with DraftKings and Fox Bet respectively.
The Giants have designated DraftKings as their official sports betting, igaming and daily fantasy operator as part of a multi-year deal that incorporates a range of marketing rights, including the use of official Giants marks and logos, digital and broadcast integrations, and branding within MetLife Stadium during the team’s home games.
Boston-based DraftKings, which will also operate a virtual SportsLounge on Giants' game days, has announced a number of similar tie-ups in recent weeks, including a multi-year partnership with ESPN and an exclusive, US$100 million deal with the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB).
A joint statement published on the Giants website said that of the 700-plus sports teams available on the DraftKings Sportsbook platform, the Giants rank in the top 40 for most highly bet franchises by both handle and wagers.
DraftKings already serves as the official daily fantasy partner of the NFL after signing a league-first deal a year ago.
Elsewhere, the Eagles’ multi-year agreement with Fox Bet will see the creation of a branded interactive studio at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, while the deal also comprises the usual mix of physical, broadcast, digital and social media marketing assets.
The two new deals add to a flurry of betting partnerships signed by the NFL and its teams since the league softened its stance on gambling sponsorships in February.
Earlier this month, the league announced new regional betting partners in the UK and Latin America, while the Denver Broncos became the first NFL franchise to secure a sportsbook sponsor when they signed with FanDuel back in June.
