Neymar downloads Nabufit deal

Barcelona star to promote health and wellbeing app.

Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr. has been unveiled as a global brand ambassador of workout and wellbeing mobile application Nabufit.

Neymar joins table tennis star Michael Maze and former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel as ambassadors for the US-based company and the Barcelona forward will contribute to the app with workout videos and motivational messages, and will help to grow the brand into South American markets.

“When I found out about Nabufit’s new fitness platform, I was surprised by what they have to offer,” said Neymar, in a statement released by Nabufit.

“I see this as a unique way for people to improve their physical activities even more, and make their lives healthier.”

The company claims it will add more global sports stars to its ambassador portfolio in coming months.

The 24 year old Brazilian has had a glittering career to date, despite his young age. He has won La Liga twice, the Uefa Champions League once and the Copa Libertadores once, and was named SportsPro’s most marketable athlete in the world in 2012 and 2013.
