Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain soccer star Neymar has signed an endorsement deal with Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo ahead of the Fifa World Cup.

Neymar, 26, has been unveiled as an ‘OPPO friend’ and will be seen promoting the company’s products during this summer’s international tournament in Russia.

OPPO has previously worked with Neymar through its partnership with Spanish soccer champions Barcelona, who Neymar left for PSG last year.

The deal marks the latest in a string of endorsement deals signed by Brazil’s talisman, who teamed up with electronics brand TCL, another Chinese firm, in February after partnering with mobile technology company Digible to launch a new app.

Neymar’s return from a metatarsal injury has come just in time for the World Cup, where Brazil will be seeking redemption after their 7-1 semi-final defeat to Germany when they hosted the event back in 2014.
