North American Soccer League (NASL) side the San Antonio Scorpions have announced a presenting sponsor for their league semi-final game in H-E-B.

H-E-B, a San Antonio-based supermarket chain with some 315 outlets throughout Texas and northern Mexico, will activate by handing out free cowbells and bottle koozies to the crowd at Heroes Stadium.

The game against NASL champions Minnesota Stars on 14th October is the first playoff encounter in the Scorpions' history.

“H-E-B is proud to be a part of this historic moment for the Scorpions organisation,” said Rebecca Gonzalez of H-E-B advertising. “Like the Scorpions, we are committed to helping and serving the San Antonio community and we are proud to stand with them in their quest to bring a championship to San Antonio.”

Though no financial details have been revealed, the deal is likely to be worth a low- to mid-five figure amount.
