James Allison has been voted in as the new chairman of the Formula One Teams' Association (FOTA) Technical Regulations Working Group. Allison is currently Lotus-Renault’s technical director, and replaces Ferrari’s Aldo Costa, who will now focus on other areas of the team’s operations.

“It feels rather daunting,” said Allison of his appointment. “The previous occupants of the Chair have set a high standard and it is important to do the job properly.”
