Premier League side Manchester City have agreed a multi-year broadcast deal with the YES Network, the New York Yankees' regional sports network.
The agreement will see YES provide delayed coverage of City’s matches as well as the CityLife and Inside City behind-the-scenes magazine shows. The exact terms of the coverage were not immediately announced.
Broadcasts will be available in the network’s local markets, which include New York State, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and via YES National, the network’s national feed which is available on satellite, cable and on mobile devices.
The deal follows the partnership between Manchester City and the New York Yankees to create New York City FC, the 20th Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise, in May.

“It is not hyperbole to state that Manchester City is a true powerhouse in the world of professional soccer,” said John Filippelli, the president of production and programming at the YES Network. “It is an honour and privilege to add this elite package to our Emmy Award-winning programming line-up.”
Tom Glick, the chief commercial and operating officer for Manchester City, added: “We are delighted to be working with the YES Network to expand our coverage in the US and bring our fans closer to the club they love.
“YES’ strength in the New York area, where Manchester City have found a second home with the recent establishment of New York City FC, in partnership with the New York Yankees, fits perfectly with our desire to serve the New York Metropolitan Area’s fans.”
