Paralympic athlete David Weir has agreed a two-year sponsorship deal with recruitment company Penta Consulting.
The deal will see the London-based firm sponsor Weir, who won four gold medals at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, until the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The financial terms of the deal were not released.

“We will be supporting David over the next two years in the build up to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014 as he competes all around the world,” said Paul Clark, chief executive and founder of Penta. “We are absolutely thrilled to be championing David as there is such a natural fit between him and our company, both locally and internationally. Penta and David are both top Wallington ‘brands’ that compete on the international stage and both are wholly committed to supporting local charities and not for profit organisations in the local community.”
On agreeing the deal, Weir said: “I am very happy to be associated with such a successful global company and I like the fact that Penta is based in Wallington where I come from. I’m looking forward to being involved with them over the next two years.”
