LIV Golf has hired the GP3 Partners communications and public affairs firm as its first agency of record.
Contract:
- GP3 to help promote ‘LIV Golf’s mission to modernise and supercharge’ golf
- Firm’s co-founder Phil Cox will be among those working with the tour, according to The New York Times
Context:
The agreement with GP3 provides LIV Golf greater support in the US amid an ongoing legal battle with the PGA Tour and political criticism of Saudi Arabia. Cox is an experienced operator in US politics, having previously worked as executive director of the Republicans Governors Association (RGA) and as an adviser to Florida governor Ron DeSantis.
