Australian Super Rugby team the Western Force has acquired sports apparel company KooGa as its kit manufacturer for the next three seasons.

“Having recently set up offices in Western Australia it was vital for us to form a partnership with not only a professional sporting team but also a team that has significant roots in community sport,” KooGa’s managing director Tyron Brant said.

“We firmly believe that the Force will make a significant impact in Super Rugby over the next three years and are looking forward to the journey together," he added.

Rugby Western Australia's chief executive Vern Reid said KooGa’s rise into an internationally recognised brand while retaining a uniquely Australian feel was very much in keeping with the values and aspirations of the Western Force.

“Our supporters have passionately shown their colours in creating the famous ‘sea of blue’ at home matches and our new KooGa jerseys will allow them to continue that wonderful tradition," said Reid.

“The launch of the playing strip isn’t far away and I know our members and supporters won’t be disappointed with what they’ll see," he added.

KooGa are currently also associated with two other Super Rugby teams, the Queensland Reds and the Melbourne Rebels, making them the dominant supplier of playing and training kit for Super Rugby in Australia.
