Gucci has extended its title sponsorship of the European Equestrian Masters event in Paris for a further two years.
The luxury fashion brand sponsored last year's inaugural Gucci Masters, which took place during the Paris Horse Show, and will retain the naming rights for the 2010 and 2011 editions. It will also open a temporary store on site for the duration of the event.
Gucci creative director Frida Giannini said: "The Gucci Masters provides a perfect link to Gucci's values, prestige and culture. As we approach the House's 90th anniversary in 2011, it is an event that perfectly symbolizes the traditions we proudly carry forward."
Christophe Ameeuw, the general manager of the European Equestrian Masters, added: "The Paris Masters is one of the world's most important equestrian occasions, it is therefore very fitting that we have one of the world's most prestigious brands as the title sponsor. Gucci's heritage and values are the perfect complement."
Featuring some of the world's top riders and mounts, the Gucci Masters will take place at the Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre from 3rd to 5th December. The Gucci Grand Prix on Sunday 5th December, a CSI 5* competition with a €300,000 (US$409,500) prize, will be the main attraction.
