National Basketball Association (NBA) champions the Golden State Warriors have named RingCentral as the latest founding partner of Chase Center ahead of their move to the arena next year.
The multi-year deal sees the California-based company become the official enterprise cloud communications partner of the Warriors and the new 18,000-seater venue, which is expected to be ready in time for the 2019/20 NBA season.
The Warriors will use RingCentral Office to power their communications with customers, partners and employees. The cloud platform will replace the franchise’s on-premises system to enable greater mobility and flexibility through advanced features such as video meetings, team messaging, mobile and desktop apps, and quality of service analytics.
RingCentral has also become the presenting partner of the Warriors’ radio game broadcast Call Under Review feature, with its enterprise communications system set to power referee collaboration as the officials make in-game decisions.
The deal ensures that RingCentral, which has been a partner of the Warriors since 2014, will continue its backing of the team at their new home, where the company will benefit from in-arena signage and branded charging stations.
“Adding RingCentral as our latest founding partner further enables us across the organisation to collaborate seamlessly,” said Warriors owner and chief executive Joe Lacob. “RingCentral has been a tremendous partner of ours for the past four years and we’re looking forward to continuing that relationship as we open Chase Center less than a year from now.”
RingCentral joins global management consulting firm Accenture and technology company Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a founding partner of Chase Center.
The Warriors have slipped to second in the NBA’s Western Conference after a run of three straight defeats. They will be looking to return to winning ways when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.
