Gold Coast Titans, the Australian rugby league club, and car manufacturer Audi’s Gold Coast Centre have announced an extension of their sponsorship agreement for the next three years. As part of the deal, the company will provide cars for every Titans player. Audi Australia’s vehicle sales grew by more than five per cent in February 2009, while Gold Coast is the most populous non-state capital city in Australia.
Last week, Adidas signed a four-year multi-million dollar kit and merchandise supply deal with the team, the newest addition to the National Rugby League (NRL), Australasia’s premier rugby league tournament.
Dealer principal James Frizelle said: “Our association with the Gold Coast Titans has allowed us to broaden our reach and has been instrumental in Audi becoming the premium vehicle of choice for so many more people in the Gold Coast community.”
Titans managing director Michael Searle commented: “James Frizelle’s Audi Centre Gold Coast have been terrific supporters of the Titans since day one so I’m delighted to announce that they will be renewing their arrangement with the club from next season until the end of 2012. Audi have been the Titans’ official motor vehicle provider over the past three years, affording many of our players the opportunity to drive one of the world’s leading prestige vehicles.”
