GlobeCast has invested more than US$2.93 million in order to more effectively provide high definition coverage of the Uefa Champions League.

The company, which has worked with Uefa for the delivery of the Uefa Champions League into Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas since 1997, will provide HD feeds of up to eight Champions League games per matchday for rights holders.

GlobeCast has partnered with Israeli-based Satlink to deliver the competition in HD to 26 territories across the Americas and Asia each night of the competition, which runs from mid-August to May.

The company will also provide the same service for the later stages of the Uefa Europa League.
