Fox Soccer announced Tuesday it is adding the Scottish Premier League (SPL) to its programming line-up after reaching an agreement to televise action from the league on its Fox Soccer Plus network in the US and Caribbean.

The broadcaster, which currently holds rights to top-level soccer from England, France and Italy, as well as the Uefa Champions League and Uefa Europa League, will air up to two SPL matches per week and a half-hour highlights show until the end of the 2013-2014 season.

The first game to be shown will be this coming weekend’s clash between the SPL’s cash-strapped reigning champions Rangers and Dundee United.
