British tennis star Emma Raducanu has further capitalised on her breakthrough year by signing a personal endorsement deal with bottled water brand Evian.
Announcing the agreement on Twitter this week, Raducanu described Evian as ‘an iconic brand and a champion of tennis and the younger generation’, with the IMG client set to serve as a global ambassador for the company.
A relative unknown at the beginning of 2021, the 19-year-old shot to prominence this year by winning September’s US Open to become the first British female to win a Grand Slam in 44 years.
Since her unlikely triumph in New York, Raducanu and her management team have capitalised by securing off-court commercial agreements with the likes of Dior and Tiffany’s.
In October, the Daily Mail reported that the Dior deal alone is worth around UK£2 million (US$2.75 million).
Earlier this month, Raducanu was voted as the Women’s Tennis Association’s (WTA) newcomer of the year, underlining her status as one of the most exciting talents in the sport.
To date, Evian’s investments in tennis have included sponsorship agreements with top tournaments and players including Wimbledon, Maria Sharapova, Stan Wawrinka and Kyle Edmund.
