Spanish soccer side Barcelona have entered into a partnership with Deezer.

The digital streaming service will become the La Liga champions’ official music partner, and has created an official Barcelona channel on its Flow platform where many of the club’s star players will create personal playlists that will be available to fans. These playlists will be played over the PA system, both before and during games, at the team’s Camp Nou home.

Deezer branding will be visible on pitchside LED boards at the Camp Nou throughout the partnership. Neither the financial terms nor the duration of the deal were released.

“We believe music is part of the daily life,” said Golan Shaked, Deezer’s chief commercial officer. “It’s the soundtrack that goes with you and football fans, just like anyone else, will enjoy music as part of their daily life experience.”

Earlier in the week Deezer agreed a similar deal with Premier League outfit Manchester United.

Barcelona have confirmed that heralded forward Luis Suarez will sign a contract extension until 2021 and they have set a buy-out clause for the Uruguayan at €200million (US$209 million). Suarez, along with Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr, is part of the Catalan club’s revered attacking triumvirate, known by fans as ‘MSN’.
