The Algerian Football Federation has followed up its signing of a kit deal with Puma by signing a three-year sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola.
The partnership will be worth US$2.1 million to Algerian soccer over the next three years, and will allow Coca-Cola to use images of the national team in its advertising campaigns.
“We are very pleased and proud,” said FAF chief Mohamed Raouraoua. “The contribution of this new sponsorship will allow us to develop national football.”
Coca-Cola has a range of soccer sponsorships in Africa, including sponsorship of the National Coca-Cola U-17 Soccer Tournament currently underway in Ghana.
