- Horizm has also provided solutions for Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Benfica
English soccer giants Chelsea have announced a collaboration with digital inventory management company Horizm to identify new digital revenue streams.
Chelsea will use the Swiss-based firm’s artificial intelligence (AI) powered platform, which provides a real time, ‘digital first’ solution for managing and selling digital inventory focused on digital campaigns.
The team-up sees Chelsea join other leading European soccer clubs such as Spanish champions Real Madrid, Italy’s Inter Milan and Portugal’s Benfica in using Horizm’s new, enhanced user experience, which launched earlier this month. Horizm claims its platform allows rights holders to easier identify the value of their digital assets and how they can best be monetised.
Outside of soccer, Horizm has also worked with the likes of tennis’ Australian Open, cricket’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL), the International Hockey League (FIH) and the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
Chelsea currently boast a social media following of over 100 million, including more than eight million followers on Weibo, having penned a strategic partnership with the Chinese platform last November. At the time, the Blues stated they were the second most followed team across all social media platforms in China.
Prior to the Horizm partnership, Chelsea had launched a new marketing proposition that gives brands access to the West London club’s players, as well as their creative and production departments, for short-term media campaigns across social, digital and web.
