Burda Sports Group boost for DTU commercial prospects

The German Triathlon Union (DTU) has agreed a new partnership with Burda Sports Group.

The German Triathlon Union (DTU) has agreed a new partnership with Burda Sports Group.

The Frankfurt-based agency will advise the DTU on the development of new marketing and distribution concepts, and will also be responsible for attracting new sponsors. Current DTU partners include Asics, Club La Santa and ARAG.
 
Matthias Tekse, the DTU project manager for marketing and events, said: "As part of our reorganization, it was just a logical step to cooperate in the important area of marketing with a professional partner. Due to its proximity to our headquarters and the excellent references we see excellent opportunities, together with the Burda Sports Group, to offer prospective partners excellent marketing and communication perspectives in the triathlon."
 
 
Burda Sports Group consultant Jan L. Hay, who will work with the DTU, said: "We are convinced that the sport of triathlon in Germany has great potential from a sporting point of view and in terms of marketing opportunities and we will create together with the DTU an attractive platform for companies."
