The French Basketball League (LNB) has renewed its television deal with broadcast partner Canal+ Group.

Under the terms of the agreement, which runs until June 2017, the network’s SPORT+ pay-TV channel will continue to show a minimum of two top level Pro A games live each week, however the exact day is yet to be determined. One game from every match day during the play offs will also been shown live, and the season-ending finals will be aired in their entirety.

The deal also includes the right to sublicense 12 additional games throughout the season and the final of the second-tier Pro B championship.

LNB president Alain Béral said: “The professionalism of Canal+ Group will guarantee the quality of treatment of our sport, and the commitment of the Canal + Group will allow us to plan our development efforts with confidence and consistency.”

Cyril Linette, director of sport for Canal+ Group, added: "We are convinced that the Mr. Béral’s project is solid. The ratings of previous LNB broadcasts led us to finalise this partnership agreement, which reinforces SPORT + premium offering and confirms our position as the historic and exclusive broadcaster of French sport."
