The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has announced a four-year extension of its partnership with the Itau Unibanco financial services firm.
Through the renewal, the Sao Paulo-based company will remain a main sponsor of all Brazilian national soccer teams until 2026. Itau will remain in the same sponsorship category as the CBF’s other major partners Nike, Vivo, and Gaurana.
Itau will retain brand visibility across the national teams’ uniforms, CBF physical inventory, as well as on digital platforms and across community outreach projects.
The eye-catching new addition for the latest deal is the Itaú brand becoming the main sponsor of the eBrasileirão, the CBF’s esports championship, and of the official eSeleção team who won the most recent FIFAe Nations Cup.
“With Itaú by our side, we have already achieved many things on and off the field,” said Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF.
“We want to go even further with this new agreement, which allows us to increasingly strengthen our teams, whether basic or main. It is a vote of confidence by Itaú in this new administration, in the board of CBF and its employees.”
A statement from Itau Unibanco added: ‘Itaú’s support for the sport that is the passion of Brazilians began almost 30 years ago, and many good results have been reaped in all these years. With the renewal of the sponsorship contract for at least another four years, Itaú Unibanco intends to continue this long-standing support.’
