US digital media company Barstool Sports will exclusively stream live coverage of the Korn Ferry Tour’s NV5 Invitational, which marks its first streaming production of professional golf.
Contract:
- All four rounds to stream live on Barstool.tv from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm ET
- Barstool Sports personalities to appear throughout the broadcast
- Barstool’s ‘Fore Play’ golf podcast and the Korn Ferry Tour will engage in a variety of promotional activities leading up to the tournament
- Promotion to include pre-tournament coverage on Barstool Sports, the Fore Play podcast and Korn Ferry Tour social channels
- Barstool to coproduce live stream with PGA Tour Entertainment
- PGA Tour Entertainment to provide production capabilities, including staffing and equipment, while Barstool leads the stream’s creative direction
Context:
This marks Barstool’s latest foray into live sports streaming, following its broadcast of the Arizona Bowl college football game last December. Its coverage reportedly gained a maximum of 130,000 concurrent viewers on the company’s website, app and social media channels, with one million views in total
