The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has secured Bank Alfalah as the presenting sponsor for the upcoming cricket series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Pakistani private bank, which is owned by the Abu Dhabi Group, joins Emirates Airline and telecommunications company Mobilink as a sponsor of the PCB.
“It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce the association of Bank Alfalah as the Presenting Partners of the Pakistan-Sri Lanka series,” announced Ijaz Farooq, group head Islamic banking at Bank Alflaha.
“We have been associated with cricket in the past and wish both teams all the best and look forward to a very competitive series between two top-class sides.”
Tariq Hakim, general manager of marketing for the PCB, said that the PCB “is looking forward to continue this relationship in the future.”
Bank Alfalah has been sponsoring Pakistan home cricket series regularly since 2005 and has previously sponsored a number of UAE-hosted cricket series against Australia, New Zealand, England and South Africa.
The upcoming series will be played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in UAE and commences on the 18th October.
