Baltimore Ravens upgrade team app with ImagineAR deal

Deal is AR specialist's first with a major US sports team.

The National Football League’s (NFL) Baltimore Ravens have signed a new two-year revenue sharing partnership with augmented reality (AR) firm ImagineAR.

The Ravens will utilise the specialist firm’s mobile AR solutions for fan activations and engagement withn the team’s own app. The franchise says the deal will create an immersive metaverse experience for fans via the Ravens’ own platform.

ImagineAR, which is also a partner of Spanish soccer club Valencia, enables sports organisations to launch their own AR mobile campaigns with a suite of custom tools.

“Our team strives to leverage advanced technology to deliver innovative and exceptional fan experiences,” said Kevin Rochlitz, chief sales officer of the Baltimore Ravens.

“Integrating the ImagineAR platform with our mobile app for the next two years will create interactive fun, energy and excitement that can be shared with other fans on all social media platforms.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be the first NFL team to integrate the award-winning ImagineAR technology into our digital communications’ mobile platform.”
