Nguyen Tien Minh, the Vietnamese badminton champions, has secured a US$96,000 sponsorship package from the Victor Badminton Racket Corporation.

Minh, who competed for his country at the Beijing Olympics, had previously only attracted US$20,000 deals from Yonex and Becamex Binh Duong, so the Victor deal represents a massive upturn in fortunes. It will last for four years and, over that time, will see the company sponsor three high-profile tournaments.

Minh is currently ranked 11th in the world, and tipped to break into the top ten.
