Italian coffee maker Lavazza has extended and expanded its partnership with Arsenal to include the Premier League club’s women’s team.

Lavazza became the English soccer club’s official coffee partner in 2018 and will now serve the same role for Arsenal Women, who are currently top of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League (WSL).

Under the multi-year deal, Lavazza coffee will be available at all Arsenal Women home games played at the Emirates Stadium.

In addition, Lavazza will also continue as exclusive coffee supplier for the men’s team’s home matches, where the company’s iTierra! Colombia blend will be available in approximately 150 hospitality boxes. Meanwhile, the Kafa Forest Coffee brand will be served in all VIP and player lounges and at key points of sale within the stadium.

Lavazza joins financial services company Mastercard in Arsenal Women’s official partner category.

“Since 2017, Lavazza has been working to support the 17 goals set by the UN,” said Pietro Mazzà, Lavazza’s regional director for the UK and Nordics and general manager of Lavazza UK. “This partnership showcases our commitment to supporting goal number five, which is focused on gender equality, working to empower all women and girls.”

Arsenal Women are one of the most successful teams in the game having won 58 trophies in total, including 12 league titles. Most recently, they finished runners up to Chelsea in Sunday’s 2021 FA Cup final.

Peter Silverstone, Arsenal’s chief commercial officer, added: “Partnerships like this are extremely important for the growth of Arsenal Women and a powerful statement for the wider women’s game. Our collaboration with Lavazza will help us build on our success and enable us to continue to develop and attract the world’s best talent and inspire generations of young women in sport.”
