Eleven Sports secures live coverage of Ekstraliga speedway in Poland

Global broadcaster ELEVEN SPORTS has added more speedway action to its rights portfolio in Poland with live coverage of the Ekstraliga – the country’s domestic national league which is considered to be one of the best in the world.

Global broadcaster ELEVEN SPORTS has added more speedway action to its rights portfolio in Poland with live coverage of the Ekstraliga – the country’s domestic national league which is considered to be one of the best in the world.

The agreement, which covers the 2019-21 seasons, will see ELEVEN sublicense two live matches every Friday from DTH platform nc+. Sunday matches will remain on the nSport+ channel. This means nc+ and ELEVEN will show 56 matches of the regular season, with ELEVEN showing 28 of those along with the chosen play-off matches.

“The addition of Ekstraliga for ELEVEN subscribers in Poland underlines our commitment to delivering top class local content, relevant to the local fans,” said Danny Menken, Group Managing Director, ELEVEN SPORTS. “Speedway is hugely popular in Poland and we are delighted to build on the very strong speedway content our fans already enjoy. We are committed to showcasing the biggest events featuring the best riders – this new addition ensures we are doing that.”

Ekstraliga joins ELEVEN’s portfolio of Speedway content in Poland which already includes selected matches involving the Polish National Speedway Team, Swedish Elitserien, the Nice 1. Liga Żużlowa and the Speedway Great Britain Premiership.

In Poland, the channels Eleven, Eleven Sports and Eleven Extra are available on satellite platforms and cable networks, including leading operators such as nc+, Cyfrowy Polsat, UPC, Vectra, Multimedia Polska, Orange, INEA, TOYA, Netia, Promax and PLAY NOW as well as several other local cable television providers. The channels are also available through the ELEVEN SPORTS app on the elevensports.pl website, on Android and iOS mobile devices, as well as on selected Samsung Smart TVs with the Tizen system.
