France’s National Basketball League (LNB) has signed a three-year strategic partnership with e-commerce giant Amazon.
Under the terms of the deal, Amazon.fr will tailor a merchandise service for the LNB’s competing clubs. Fans will be able to purchase branded items such as jerseys, balloons, shorts, caps and bag on the site. The Amazon logo will be visible at the LNB games and on the shorts of all players in the Pro A and Pro B leagues.
The financial terms of the deal have not been released.
“We are engaging with a new international partner that reinforces its presence in France,” said Alain Béral, president of the LNB. “This is a strong and positive signal for French basketball. This historic association will allow the LNB and its clubs to continue their development and their ability to always innovate on digital.”
