Media analytics and consultancy firm Futures Sport + Entertainment has installed André Schunk as its general manager, Americas.
Schunk was previously an executive vice president at Octagon, the sports marketing agency and sister company of Futures. In his new role, he will lead Futures’ North American operation, which provides sports media analytics to more than 30 clients.
“André is a trusted colleague and I’m confident his leadership will help Futures continue its impressive growth in the US,” said Simon Wardle, the president of Futures.
“André’s experience working with some of the biggest global brands and rights holders enables him to help our clients navigate and succeed in a complex and quickly changing media landscape.”
Schunk, who has previously worked with Octagon clients including AB InBev, Harman/JBL, Johnson & Johnson, Kaiser Permanente and Siemens, added: “I’m excited for this new role and to couple my sports and sponsorship marketing expertise with Futures’ exceptional data analysis team and proprietary tools.
“My aim is to ensure that Futures is part of the solution for CMOs assessing brand health and sponsorship portfolios, and for rights holder CROs looking to optimise their commercial offering and design innovative communications platforms for their brand partners.”
Octagon and Futures Sport + Entertainment are both part of the Interpublic Group.
