Italian soccer giants Internazionale have appointed Michael Gandler as their new chief revenue officer.
Gandler will be responsible for all commercial and revenue generating opportunities at the club, and will report to Inter’s chief executive Michael Bollingbroke.
Gandler joins with several years’ experience as a senior executive at Major League Soccer (MLS) in the US, where he oversaw global sponsorships and media and was responsible for the launch of the MLS’ Canadian business as well as the Women's Professional Soccer League (WPSL).
Bollinbroke expressed his hope that Gandler’s experience would help to develop the Inter brand across the globe.
Gandler said: “Joining an iconic club of Inter’s stature is an incredible opportunity. The club has ambitious plans both on and off the field and I look forward to working with Inter’s commercial team and our numerous partners to continue to grow the business.”
Inter are currently second in Serie A, Italy’s top soccer division, after a 4-1 defeat against top-of-the-table Fiorentina at the weekend.
